So at times my husband has the worst time trying to convenience me to go places. When I was younger I hard a time keeping still… through-out my early teens even into my late 20’s I always seeked out moving….but now with my fur baby & shop I have stayed still for so long, & in the coming months, year I plan on changing that more & more….for our 10th anniversary we flew to Asheville, I have never been & I had to leave my fur baby, Bukowski for 8 days….really fuckin’ difficult, but we had a great time & here are a few places you should defiantly visit…
Izzzy’s Coffee Den…yes! Do not, I repeat Do not let the strange birds that hangout at the Den scare you away, this place is hands down the best coffee I had there….also get a bagel with their jalapeno cream cheese, so delish…plus some of the best service hands down….Over Easy breakfast cafe is wow…you will not be disappointed, the food, the service, the mimosa’s made with apple ice cubes really!! also worth the wait this place is super small….The Plant –this is a plant based inspired restaurant with amazing ideas….the cheese plate is the best…..All Souls Pizzeria, really amazing…the Clingman Cafe for coffee as you wander around the amazing miles of warehouses & storefronts that house the artists in the artists district…this area of Asheville is really a progressive area, still industrial, but building up with many business’s trying their hands, I will be very interested in seeing this part of the city in the next 5 years.
Biltmore Estate….the grounds & conservatory are truly fuckin’ amazing so many flowers & richness to the estate….they were so far ahead of the game back then, wishes came truly easy for that family…
So would I visit again yes, would I consider moving there maybe, there’s alot going on for artists there for sure…tattoo shops are slim & in really close proximity to each other. I have come to not consider it odd that so many artists are not supportive or humble to others, but that’s another story altogether & another time….
I didn’t draw the whole time I was away, but took pictures, enjoyed nature & celebrating 10 years with Joe, my Sailor who guides my ship….thanks for the years & for the rest in this sometimes bumpy journey…..
